Provide AIA/CES training
Provide AIA CE training to your clients and enhance your marketing (additional fee required). Many registered architects require AIA-approved barrier-free training. Through APA, an AIA-approved provider, you can offer "Lunch-n-Learn" classes and have APA report AIA/CES credits for attending AIA members, creating a mutually beneficial scenario for you and your network. Membership Classification Information:
Persons employed in a field related to accessibility in the built environment, pursuing a degree related to accessibility in the built environment, or otherwise interested in accessibility in the built environment.
Any APA member may apply for Retired status ifÂ
1) the member either
   a) has been in good standing in APA for five successive years immediately prior to application, orÂ
   b) has had a total of at least ten successive or non-successive years of membership in the Association, and has been a member in good standing for at least three successive years immediately preceding the application for Retired membership;
andÂ
2) the member eitherÂ
   a) has attained the age of 65 and is retired from the profession of accessibility, orÂ
   b) is so incapacitated as to be unable to work in the profession.
