APA-ADA Specialists

From 2015 to 2019, the Accessibility Professionals Association (APA) awarded the "APA Specialist" designation to individuals who attended specific APA training and passed a written test. APA sunsetted the APA Specialist designation in 2020.

In 2022, APA developed the APA Certification Program (APAC), which offers the only national certification for accessibility working in the built environment.

Members who previously received APA Specialist designations may continue to market this designation and will continue to receive recognition of this accomplishment on the APA website. For designation to remain valid, APA Specialists must maintain active APA membership.

APA congratulates these accessibility professionals on these accomplishments and the advancement of their professional knowledge and expertise.
